Early backer Peak XV Partners sold 12.2 lakh shares of coworking space provider Awfis in a bulk deal worth ₹29.8 crore, according to NSE data. The shares were offloaded at ₹245 apiece through Peak XV Partners Investment V, an affiliate entity, marking a discount of 0.9% to the stock’s last closing price. This transaction reduced Peak XV’s stake in Awfis by more than half, from 23.2 lakh shares (3.24%) at the end of June 2026.
The bulk deal saw Kritagyata Trust acquiring 11.5 lakh shares at ₹244.97 apiece for ₹28.2 crore. The buyer of the remaining shares has not been disclosed. Peak XV’s decision to sell comes amid a significant decline in Awfis shares, which have dropped over 58.6% in the past year and are near their 52-week low of ₹229.55. Despite a 5% rise in the past week, the stock remains down 49.87% year-to-date, pressured by institutional selling and valuation adjustments.
Awfis’s share price decline contrasts with its financial performance, as the company reported a 140% jump in net profit to ₹24 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹10 crore a year earlier. Operating revenue also increased nearly 27% to ₹42 crore. The bulk sale by Peak XV reflects a strategic move to reduce exposure amid market volatility, highlighting the challenges faced by coworking space providers in maintaining investor confidence despite improving fundamentals.
At the end of June 2026, Peak XV held 3.24% of Awfis shares, totaling 23.2 lakh. The bulk deal executed this week marks a significant reduction in their holding, with the transaction valued at ₹29.8 crore. Awfis’s next quarterly results will provide further insight into its financial trajectory amid ongoing market pressures.
