slice Small Finance Bank reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹50.9 crore in the June quarter of financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27), reversing a net loss of ₹10.1 crore in the same quarter last year. The bank's total income rose 38.6% year-on-year to ₹413.8 crore during the quarter, according to its unaudited financials.
The bank's PAT surged 149% sequentially from ₹20.4 crore in Q4 FY26 and exceeded the ₹48.4 crore profit recorded for the entire FY26. Profit before tax was ₹49.1 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with a loss before tax of ₹10.1 crore in Q1 FY26 and a profit before tax of ₹20.1 crore in the previous quarter. The gross loan book grew about 55% year-on-year to ₹5,098 crore as of June 30, 2026, while deposits nearly doubled to ₹5,765 crore during the same period, slice said in a statement.
slice’s financial performance reflects strong growth in its loan book and deposits, with a current account savings account (CASA) ratio of 43.9%. CASA and retail term deposits together accounted for 94.7% of total deposits. The bank’s total assets increased 54% year-on-year to ₹7,444 crore, and its net worth rose 16.5% to ₹896 crore. Its gross non-performing asset (NPA) ratio improved to 4.36% from 6.31% in Q1 FY26, indicating better asset quality.
The bank’s outstanding debt declined 23.2% to ₹507.3 crore from ₹660.4 crore a year earlier. Its capital-to-risk-weighted assets ratio stood at 18.2%, above the regulatory requirement of 15% for small finance banks. These financial metrics demonstrate slice’s strengthened balance sheet and improved profitability in Q1 FY27.
