Rentomojo's shares have surged 38% above their initial public offering (IPO) price of ₹404 within nearly one month of listing on September 17, 2026. The company raised ₹1,250 crore through the IPO, which was subscribed 73 times. Following the strong market debut, Rentomojo's market capitalization increased by 8% to ₹5,800 crore after its June-quarter results were announced, according to livemint.com.
The company reported a 51% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations, reaching ₹126.3 crore in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Rentomojo's normalised EBITDA stood at ₹52.3 crore, reflecting a margin of around 41%, while normalised EBIT was ₹29.2 crore with a margin close to 23%. Senior Associate at Ashika Capital, Ishan Tanna, noted that the company's Q1 FY27 results demonstrated robust demand, improved monetisation, and healthy utilisation of rental inventory, despite an exceptional loss of ₹11.37 crore due to a fire at its Noida warehouse.
The surge in share price is supported by strong growth in customer demand, with items ordered increasing 45.8% year-on-year to 3.29 lakh and live subscribers rising 36.3% to 2.83 lakh. Rentomojo's business model, focused on rental furniture and appliances, is benefiting from rising demand and improved profitability, which has attracted investor interest. The company’s IPO subscription and subsequent price performance place it among notable recent listings in the rental and consumer services sector.
Rentomojo's shares listed at a premium of around 20% to the issue price, reflecting investor confidence. The company’s next quarterly earnings report, expected in early 2027, will provide further insight into its growth trajectory and profitability metrics, as the firm continues to expand its rental inventory and subscriber base.
