Snabbit and Urban Company report strong growth in instant house-help services

Snabbit and Urban Company, two leading platforms in India’s instant house-help market, reported significant growth in Q2 FY27.

Snabbit and Urban Company, two leading platforms in India’s instant house-help market, reported significant growth in Q2 FY27. Snabbit recorded 64 lakh house-help jobs, a 61% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 1,697% rise year-on-year, with net transaction value (NTV) reaching ₹72 crore. Urban Company fulfilled 62 lakh orders in the same period, up 63% quarter-on-quarter, with NTV increasing 34% to ₹71 crore, according to livemint.com.

Snabbit’s CEO Aayush Agarwal shared key metrics on LinkedIn, highlighting the company’s expansion across house-help, home-cook, and home-salon services, which together accounted for 64.5 lakh jobs and ₹73 crore in NTV. Agarwal also noted a significant reduction in loss per job, from around ₹1,500 at the start of FY26 to below ₹200 recently. Urban Company’s InstaHelp business showed comparable scale but uses different reporting definitions, focusing on fulfilled orders rather than jobs.

The rapid growth of both companies underscores the expanding demand for instant home services in India, driven by quick bookings and competitive pricing. Despite this, both platforms face challenges in achieving profitability amid scaling operations. Their financial performance and market strategies will be closely watched as they compete to capture a larger share of the growing sector, which is marked by intense competition and evolving service offerings.

Snabbit’s reported metrics and financial improvements were detailed by CEO Aayush Agarwal on LinkedIn, while Urban Company’s Q2 FY27 figures were disclosed in its financial reports. The next quarterly results, expected in early 2027, will provide further insight into the companies’ progress toward sustainable profitability and market leadership.
