Tata Consultancy Services’ data centre subsidiary, HyperVault, announced a Rs 70,000 crore investment to build an artificial intelligence data centre campus on 264 acres in Hyderabad, Telangana. The project, revealed on September 5, aims to be one of India’s largest AI data centre developments, with a planned capacity of up to 1 gigawatt. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged the company to complete the facility within 21 months, targeting an inauguration on June 2, 2028, the state’s formation day.
HyperVault AI Data Center Limited, a wholly owned TCS subsidiary established in December 2025, is leading the project as part of TCS’s "infrastructure-to-intelligence" initiative. The campus will be located in Telangana’s Future City near Hyderabad and feature high-density, liquid-cooled computing infrastructure designed for advanced AI developers and hyperscale cloud operators. The project is expected to generate around 7,000 direct and indirect jobs. The company and state government emphasized the use of renewable energy and water-neutral cooling technologies, though detailed technical specifications have not been disclosed.
