Ekart, the Flipkart-owned logistics company, reduced its loss by 98.3% to ₹26 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2026 (FY26), compared to a loss of ₹1,508 crore in FY25. However, its revenue from contracts with customers declined 4.2% to ₹13,194 crore in FY26 from ₹13,779 crore the previous year, according to inc42.com.
Instakart Services, the parent company of Ekart, generated about 69% of its total operating revenue from Flipkart itself, amounting to ₹9,112 crore in FY26. The logistics, transportation, and shipping vertical contributed approximately 50% of the revenue, totaling ₹6,419 crore, but this segment saw a 39.5% year-on-year decline. While collection services revenue dropped 68% to ₹510 crore, warehousing services income increased 44% to ₹2,212 crore. Including finance and other income of ₹418 crore, Instakart’s total income fell 3.9% to ₹13,612 crore in FY26.
Founded in 2009 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal as Flipkart’s in-house logistics arm, Ekart was spun off as a separate entity in 2016 to support fulfillment for Flipkart, Myntra, and other online sellers and retailers. As of last year, Ekart operated over 7,000 trucks daily, 70 fulfillment centers, 80 sortation facilities, and 3,500 delivery hubs, covering 14,000 pin codes across India. Despite the revenue decline, the company’s operational scale remains extensive.
Ekart’s narrowing loss to ₹26 crore in FY26 marks a significant financial turnaround from the ₹1,508 crore loss in FY25. The company’s next financial update will provide further insight into its recovery trajectory and operational adjustments.
