Groww expands into US stocks, wealth management, and AI integration

Groww, India’s largest stockbroker, is expanding its product offerings by preparing to launch US stocks after securing approvals from GIFT City.

Groww, India’s largest stockbroker, is expanding its product offerings by preparing to launch US stocks after securing approvals from GIFT City. The company is also scaling its wealth management platform W, growing its asset management business, and embedding artificial intelligence across its platform, according to its Q1 FY27 earnings call.

The company’s cofounder Lalit Keshre described W as a combination of multiple products rather than a single product, emphasizing the platform’s potential scale. Groww is simultaneously deepening its presence in commodity derivatives and expanding its lending portfolio through loans against securities (LAS). The management expressed confidence and satisfaction with the early progress of these initiatives.

This expansion marks a significant evolution for Groww as it transitions from being India’s largest retail investing platform to a full-stack financial services company. The company’s product pipeline for the next one to two years is described as very strong. The challenge ahead lies in scaling these new verticals into meaningful revenue streams while maintaining the operational discipline that has driven its growth so far.

Groww’s next phase will focus on converting its diverse product launches into sustainable revenue drivers. The company’s Q1 FY27 earnings call highlighted its ambition to build multiple businesses without losing focus, underscoring the strategic importance of this expansion.
