Krishna Grover, founder of Herald E-Bikes, has grown his electric two-wheeler business to a monthly revenue run rate of ₹1.5 crore from 550 active showrooms. The venture started in 2018 using his wife Ritika’s savings and has expanded its product range to 34 models, according to livemint.com.
Grover left his corporate job, where he earned ₹3,500 monthly in 2005 and later held a management role at an international BPO by 2014, to start Krishika Services, which was formally incorporated as Krishika EV India Private Limited in December 2022. His former colleague Vinay Kumar joined as co-founder. The company initially faced challenges as consumers in tier-2 and tier-3 cities hesitated to adopt electric two-wheelers due to concerns over quality and after-sales service.
The rising petrol prices and pollution levels in Delhi-NCR motivated the founders to focus on the electric vehicle market. Herald E-Bikes’ growth reflects increasing consumer interest in EVs despite early skepticism. The company’s 34-model product range and extensive distribution network place it among notable players in India’s expanding electric two-wheeler sector.
Herald E-Bikes’ monthly revenue run rate of ₹1.5 crore and its network of over 550 showrooms highlight the company’s rapid scale-up since its 2018 inception, as reported by livemint.com.
