Lumio, a consumer electronics manufacturer, raised $12 million in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures, with participation from Stellaris Venture Partners and 3one4 Capital, the company announced. The startup plans to use the funds to invest in product development, software, and expand its retail presence across India.
Founded in 2024 by former Xiaomi India CBO Raghu Reddy and ex-Flipkart executive Kailash Sankaranarayanan, Lumio launched its first smart TV lineup in early 2025. Since then, it has expanded its hardware portfolio to include projectors and speakers. The company also developed an AI-powered personalised content discovery engine called TLDR, available in nine Indian languages and supported by multiple patent filings.
Lumio aims to differentiate itself from legacy electronics brands by leveraging software alongside hardware. The startup targets India’s 3-3.5 crore affluent households, which are increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional brands for home entertainment. Blume Ventures partner Sajith Pai highlighted the founders’ deep experience and customer insights as key to Lumio’s growth in the competitive market.
The funding will enable Lumio to enhance product quality, after-sales support, and retail availability, allowing customers to experience products offline before purchase. The company’s focus on combining hardware with AI-driven software positions it to compete in India’s evolving consumer electronics sector.
