SEDEMAC Mechatronics reported a 95.1% increase in net profit to ₹33.3 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹17.1 crore in the same quarter last year, according to inc42.com. Revenue for the quarter rose 42.5% year-on-year to ₹309.8 crore, driven by strong sales in its mobility segment. The company’s total income, including other income of ₹86 lakh, reached ₹310.6 crore during the quarter.
The profit surge followed a 7.7% sequential increase in revenue from ₹287.7 crore in the previous quarter. Operating expenses rose 41.9% year-on-year and 9.3% quarter-on-quarter to ₹269.3 crore, reflecting higher raw material costs and challenges in the semiconductor supply chain. Despite this, SEDEMAC improved its EBITDA by 30% year-on-year to ₹60 crore, although its EBITDA margin declined to 19.4% from 21.2% in Q1 FY26.
SEDEMAC’s mobility segment was the key revenue driver, contributing ₹281 crore, a 53.4% increase year-on-year. Conversely, the industrial solutions vertical saw a 15.7% decline in revenue to ₹28.7 crore. The company, which designs and manufactures advanced electronic control systems, faces margin pressure due to supply chain tightening but expects EBITDA margins to stabilize or improve in the remainder of FY27.
The company also disclosed it has cumulatively sold over 13 million electronic control units, underscoring its market presence in the deeptech sector, as per inc42.com.
