Solinas Integrity, a Chennai-based robotics startup, raised $5.5 million (₹52.4 crore) in a Series A1 funding round co-led by Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office, the company announced. The round included participation from Luthra Group, SVL-SME Fund managed by SBI Ventures Limited, Rainmatter Capital, and 8X Ventures Fund I. Founded in 2018 and incubated at IIT Madras, Solinas plans to use the funds to expand manufacturing, develop new products, and strengthen its software infrastructure.

The startup specializes in full-stack robotics solutions that detect defects and leakages in water and sewer pipelines, deploying crawlers such as Endobot and Homosep across municipalities and enterprise clients. Solinas currently has an active deployment with Dubai Municipality. The fresh capital will help the company deepen its international sales presence and broaden its product portfolio to cover water, sanitation, hygiene, industrial applications, and defence sectors, according to inc42.com.

Solinas Integrity’s funding round reflects growing investor interest in robotics solutions addressing infrastructure challenges. Comparable startups focusing on underground asset management have attracted significant capital as cities and industries seek automation to improve maintenance efficiency. The participation of institutional investors like SBI Ventures and Rainmatter Capital underscores confidence in Solinas’ technology and market potential. The company aims to become India’s largest tech firm in the underground asset management space.

Solinas Integrity’s leadership team, including founders Divanshu Kumar, Moinak Banerjee, Krishnan Balasubramanian, Prabhu Rajagopal, and Bhavesh Narayani, will leverage the funding to scale operations and enhance product offerings. The startup’s next steps include expanding manufacturing capacity and increasing international deployments, with Dubai Municipality as a key existing client, as reported by inc42.com.
