Typsy Beauty, a Delhi NCR-based beauty and personal care brand, raised ₹20 crore ($2.1 million) in a funding round led by Saama Capital, announced this week. The round also saw participation from Genesis Luxury founder Sanjay Kapoor and SRF Family Office, alongside existing investors such as Borderline Media founder Tanaaz Bhatia and family offices of Havells and Eicher Motors, according to inc42.com.
Founded in 2022 by Kairavi Bharat Ram, Shashank Tibrewal, and Shruti Gupta, Typsy Beauty operates a portfolio of 27 SKUs across makeup and fragrance categories. The startup sells its products through its D2C website, online marketplaces like Nykaa and Amazon, and quick commerce platforms including Blinkit and Zepto. The fresh capital will support the company’s plans to deepen its quick commerce presence and expand offline retail, as well as launch 10 new products in the coming months.
The beauty and personal care sector in India has seen increased investor interest, with D2C brands focusing on hybrid models combining online and offline channels. Typsy Beauty’s strategy to expand into skincare and scale its fragrance sub-brand Spritz by Typsy aligns with market trends where premium pricing and international-grade formulations are gaining traction. The company’s ability to maintain healthy contribution margins and a repeatable growth model across multiple marketplaces positions it well in a competitive segment.
Typsy Beauty’s latest funding round will enable it to accelerate product launches and distribution expansion while maintaining operational discipline. The company’s focus on quick commerce and offline retail growth reflects broader shifts in consumer purchasing behavior within India’s beauty market, as reported by inc42.com.
